Antonio Raoul Riobe, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on June 30, 2019 at 7:10pm in Brockton MA, surrounded by his loving family and friends after a long battle with multiple medical issues. He was 79 years old.
Antonio was born on October 24, 1939 in Port Au Prince Haiti.
Son of the late Andre Riobe and Carlene Pierre Riobe, he migrated to the United States in 1973.
Antonio made a name for himself as a very successful electrician in the Massachusetts area."Tony" as he was known to many of his clients was called upon to do many electrical projects and his expertise was sought out by many. He was a friend to all and a provider for anyone in need. Antonio was a hard worker all his life. He sacrificed a lot to build, what some may call, his empire. Antonio enjoyed spending his free time with his family going to the beach, park or just sitting on the front porch "ap bay blag." Family and friends were very important to him and he cherished time spent with them. Antonio had a strong faith in God and would often comment, "se Bon Dieu map services, Gran Met La."
Antonio is survived by his nine children, Kettley Riobe of Hyde Park, Carline Riobe of Haiti, Ralph Riobe and his wife Andrea of Georgia, Amelie "Djyna" Grant and her husband Ludlow of New Jersey, Sherley Riobe of New Jersey, Reginald Riobe and his wife Andrea of Randolph, Cynthia Riobe Jean and her husband Pedre of Brockton, Riolla Riobe and Ericka Riobe of Milton. Also survived by his three step-children, Gerald Laurent of Milton,Claudel Laurent and his wife Maudell of Dorchester, Kerline Beazer and her husband Philmore of Randolph. His three siblings, Henry Riobe, of NY, Lourdes Riobe of Dorchester, and Antonine Riobe of Dorchester. Also survived by his 23 grandchildren. Antonio was preceded in death by his ex wife Danie Riobe.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Saint Mary of the Hills, 29 Saint Marys Road, Milton at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Roslindale.
