Mr. Quintilio Colaluca, age 83, died Tuesday January 10, 2006 in Medford at the Courtyard Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Born in Bugnara, Italy he was a Medford resident most recently formerly of Somerville and Sulmona, Italy. Quintilio was the loving son of the late Concetta (Mazzocca) & Giuseppe Colaluca.
Quintilio was the beloved husband of Raffaelina (DeSantis) Colaluca. They were married on February 11, 1951. This February they would have been married for 55 years.
Quintilio was a laborer and was a member of Local 22. He retired in 1988 at the age of 65. He served in the Italian Army during World War II as a parachutist.
In addition to his wife and parents, Quintilio is survived by his sister Gemma Vellante of Italy the late Flora Colaluca, Valentino Colaluca and Guerino Colaluca. Loving uncle of Massimo Vellante and Gabriella Vellante both of Italy. Brother in law to Regina Zafferano of Somerville and Bambina DeAcetis of Medford. Also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
