OBITUARY
Mr. DiBlasi died Sunday at the Brockton Hospital Transitional Care Unit after a lengthy illness.
He was born and raised in the West End of Boston son of the late Frank P. and Mary (Purpura) DiBlasi. For the past 40 years he has been a resident of Brockton.
During the Korean Conflict he served as an MP in the US Army.
In 1999 Mr. DiBlasi retired from MIT in Cambridge after 19 years of service. Previously he had been employed by Stride Rite (Green Shoe) in Roxbury.
He enjoyed raising homing pigeons, traveling and fishing.He was a longtime communicant of St. Colman Church.
In addition to his wife of 46 years he is survived by one son and two daughters4 grandsons and 3 sistersmany nieces and nephewsHe was the brother of the late Anthony and Vincent “Jimmy” DiBlasi
