Fairhaven – Vera M. (Wolstenholme) Picard, 82, of Louise Drive, Tiverton, RI died Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at Alden Court Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of Roland A. Picard.
She was born in Pawtucket, RI, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Willock) Wolstenholme, and had lived in Westport for over 40 years prior to moving to Tiverton in 1992. Mrs. Picard was an assembler in various mills in the area until her retirement in 1988. She had been a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport.
She is survived by 2 sons: Roland T. Picard of Lancaster, PA and Russell T. Picard of Long Wood, FL; a daughter: Nancy Couture of Tiverton; a brother: John Wolstenholme of Providence, RI; a sister: Betty J. Nydam of Barnstable, MA; 3 grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Barbara Puleo.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be from the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport, Friday, January 13, 2006 at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Thursday 4 – 8 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
