Mariano “Nito” Garay, 77, of Rebecca, Georgia passed away Monday, July 1, 2019, at his residence, surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held for Mr. Garay at a later date.
Born March 25, 1942 in Bryte, California, Mr. Garay was the son of the late Francisco Garay and Refujia Lomlin Garay. He was also preceded in death by one son, Mariano “Guy” Garay; and one brother, Martin Garay. Before retiring, he worked as an environmental field scientist at STL Laboratories in Miramar, Florida.
Mr. Garay is survived by his wife, Tandy Marleen Miller Garay of Rebecca; one son, Dwayne “D. J.” Miller of Rebecca; two daughters, Kelly Ann Garay of Deerfield Beach, Florida and Lilly “Buffy” Garay Webster of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Edward and Carla Garay of Placerville, California and Frank Garay of Sacramento, California; one sister, Maria Garay Reynolds of Placerville, California; eight grandchildren, Eliot and Elena Neal, Jonea Garay, Brittney Webster, Rayna Webster, Jewel Webster and Victor Erzah, Jameica and Brett Womack, Breana Webster and Angel Webster; eight great-grandchildren, Elias Neal, Maliyah Erzah, AvaLynn Poole, Leah Miller, Nyomi Webster, Sophie Webster, Ella Neal and Punkin Womack; a brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Theresa Parks; many loved nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law, Betty Jo Hudson of Pitts.
