Deminga "Minnie" (Roderiques) Groebe, of New Bedford died Tuesday January 10, 2006 at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home after a period of declining health.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Aurelio and Elvira (Lopes) Roderiques, she had lived in New Bedford for all of her life.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Mrs. Groebe was formerly employed as a dietary aide at St. Luke's Hospital for several years until her retirement.
She enjoyed reading, walking, travel, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Henry R. Groebe, and his wife Nanette, of New Bedford; a daughter, Jean Groebe Smith, and her husband James, of New Bedford; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Mary L. Correia, Dorothy Miranda and Albert Roderiques.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Tuesday, January 17th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Monday, January 16th from 1-5 PM.
Interment St. John's Cemetery.
