Livio Gomes (99) of Brockton died June 28th in the Boston Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Maria G. (Goncalves) Gomes.
He was born in Mosteiros, Fogo, Cape Verde son of the late Alfredo Barbosa and Isabel Gomes. Livio worked in Civil Service and was an Elder in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Brockton. He enjoyed good food and watching soccer.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 4 sons, Alfred, Mario and José Aguas Gomes all of Brockton and Eugénio Gomes of New Bedford, a daughter Maria Edurda Semedo of Brockton, 18 grand, 19 great grand and 7 great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Tuesday July 2nd at 10 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation in the Funeral Home Monday July 1st from 6-9 pm.
