Derrick S. Faria, 44, of New Bedford died unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in Fairhaven, the son of Mary J. Faria of New Bedford, he lived in Fairhaven and New Bedford all of his life.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Mr. Faria was formerly employed by The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Olympia Towers and Giant RV World in Raynham.
He was a graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School. Mr. Faria enjoyed travel and working on cars.
Survivors include his mother; 3 aunts, Gloria Faria of New Bedford, Anna Texeira of Fairhaven and Agnes Pelt of Chicago, Ill; a godson, Jeremy Leclair of Dighton; his good friend Jason of Worcester; several nieces and nephews.
He was the nephew of the late Antone Faria.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Friday, January 13th at 7 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 8 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday, Januray 12th from 4-7 PM.
Interment St. John's Cemetery.
