Joanne K. (Pfister) Engelbrecht, age 83, passed away peacefully at the Harmony House of Chicopee. She was born on June 21, 1936 in Union Hill, NJ, a daughter of the late Karl A. and Katherine (McBride) Pfister. Joanne worked as the Executive Assistant to the Dean of Elms College for 25 years before she retired in 2008. She is survived by her sons Ronald D. Engelbrecht and his wife Gina of West Springfield, David W. Engelbrecht and his wife Nancy of Granby and Howard D. Engelbrecht of Chicopee; 1 daughter, Susan Pease of South Hadley; 1 sister Marlene Candelmo of Whiting Manchester, NJ; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Harmony House of Chicopee along with the Mercy Life Program for all of the care they had shown to her and her family during her stay.
