NASHUA------Rolande Marie Pauline Poulin of Nashua left this earth peacefully to join Jesus in His Kingdom on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at 5:35 PM.
Born January 3, 1930 in Montreal, Quebec Canada, she lived many years in the Chelmsford, Hudson NH and Nashua NH area.
Mom was a loyal and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt who always put her family first above herself. Forever the nurturer, she made certain there were open beds for visitors and was often called the “feeding machine” as she insured that there was plenty of food to eat when family was in the house. She enjoyed accepting visitors, entertaining them with grace and friendly conversation. Despite the difficulties of the past year, she was always pleasant and content with her accommodations at Courville – Manchester. She loved the staff there and kept them entertained as they performed their daily duties. It was always comforting to see her sitting in the sun on the beach at the lake house, reading a book while watching her family out and about doing “lake stuff”. While her physical presence will be missed on that beach, her spirit will live there forever.
She is survived by her brother, Sylvio Dion; 5 children, Donald and wife Edie; Leonard and wife Mary; David and wife Leah; Danielle and husband Marty Bodley; Michelle and husband David Olsen; her niece Cecile Testa who she welcomed into her home to live when at a young age her mother passed; grandchildren Emily, Camille, Isabelle, Ella, Sarah, Olivia, Reed, Emma, David and Mary; grandnephews Jonathan and Jason Testa; and many nephews and nieces who count too many to name, but were remembered and loved by her. Rolande was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Benoit L. Poulin, her parents, David and Emma Dion and 9 siblings.
The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Monday, July 1, 2019 at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church 300 NH Rt 25, Meredith NH.
Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia NH.
