Obituary

Florence T. Beauregard, 100, of Chepachet, died Tuesday in the Hope Hospice Intake Center, Providence surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Alfred S. Beauregard, Sr. and the Mother of the late Alfred S. Beauregard, Jr.

Flossie was born in Willimantic, CT., the only child of the late Harry and M. Cora (Terry) Peterson. She grew up and lived in Willimantic and Coventry, CT for many years. Florence was a hairdresser, graduating from the Wilfred Academy in Boston. She later worked in the lunch program at the Nobel Elementary School in Willimantic. In 1986, she retired to her “dollhouse” on Smith and Sayles Reservoir in Chepachet, RI to be closer to her daughter, Judy and her grandchildren.

Florence was a member of the Eastern Star, Signet #21, a member of the First United Methodist Church and later the Chepachet Union Church. She was an avid reader and a member of Books on Tape. She volunteered at the Fogarty Memorial School Library. She loved to travel with her friends and spend her winters in Florida. Flossie love to collect dolls and she regularly rearranged her home to set up new ways to display her massive collection (which dates back to early 1900’s). Finally, Florence loved to spend time quilting, baking cookies, but mostly, she enjoyed spending her time with her family.

She leaves her daughter, Judy Colaluca and her husband Rico of Chepachet, RI, her grandchildren Aaron and his wife Gina of Bartlett NH, TeriLyn and her husband Jason Dionne of Chepachet and her great-grandchildren, Courtney Colaluca, Aaron Colaluca II, Hunter Dionne, Jaylynn Dionne, Brooklyn Dionne, and Chase Dionne.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 10am in the First United Methodist Church, 29 Puddin Lane, Mansfield Center, CT. She will be laid to rest following the funeral services alongside her husband, son and her parents at the New Willimantic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Home, Greenville.
