Betty Arlene
Born February 1st, 1926 in Siren, Wisconsin to Fred and Esther Nordin. Growing up on 3 farms with 7 siblings, she quickly learned how to be a hard worker. Married to Robert Andersen whom she met in St. Paul, Minnesota. Together they had and are cherished by their 5 children; Robert, Barbara, Richard, Diane, and Donna. Betty worked as a special education PARA with Lexington school and Century College 916 vocational tech. There she was a patient and wonderful teacher, nurturer, and guide to all of her students. She stayed in touch with many friends over the years and always kept up with dinners, family parties, and loved outings. She enjoyed family, reading, gardening, her many life long friends, and spending time with her grandchildren Melanie, Michael, Jessica, Daniel, Olivia, and Kelly. She was always a devoted and loving Grandma to them all. A very proud Great Grandma to Jace, Julius, and Jaxon. And loved deeply by every single one of her family members who stayed by her side through her many different stages of life. Betty passed away on June 16th, 2019. She is preceded in death by her siblings Anna and Francis Smith, Carl and Fay Nordin, Kenny and Elaine Nordin, Esther and Bill; and her husband Robert. Her services will be held Thursday, June 20th, 11:00 am at St. Andrew's Village Chapel, 220 East Avenue, Mahtomedi, Minnesota, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Private interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, North St. Paul, Minnesota. She will be truly missed, carried in many hearts, and never forgotten by all who loved her.
