Gerald Walsh, 75, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019, at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, June 21, 2019, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. J. W. Taylor and the Rev. Chuck Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Walsh was born February 28, 1944, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Abraham L. & Lula Erwin Walsh. For the past 25 years, Mr. Walsh has lived here and Riverview, Florida. He loved to fish, family get togethers and piddling in the yard. He was a truck driver for Logan Lumber Company. Mr. Walsh was a member and deacon of Englewood Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda Morris Walsh of Fitzgerald; a son and his wife, Wayne Stanley Walsh & Cindy of Davenport, Iowa; a daughter, Wanda and Bo Waters of Fitzgerald; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
