Worcester—Sheldon L. Burn, 73, of E. Mountain St. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, January 9, 2006. He leaves his wife Assunta (Tomei) Burn, his children Doriann Rose and Mark Burn, both of Florida, his step-children Tania Hurley of Worcester, Erica Lagares of Leominster, and Carlo Barsotti of Blackstone, his brother Arnold Burn and his wife Marcia of CT., and 9 grandchildren.
Sheldon was born in Bristol, CT., son of Theodore A. and Doris Mae (Litchfield) Burn. He was a toolmaker and machinist for the Sigler Co. and had also owned his own shop. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of The Auburn Elks and Vermont Lodge of Masons, A.F & A.M. He and his wife have owned and operated Pleasant Acres Rest Home at 107 E. Mountain Street since 1986. Family, friends, and the residents of Pleasant Acres will miss him greatly.
At Sheldon’s request no funeral services are being held. Memorial Contributions in Sheldon’s name may be made to The American Lung Association, 1 Abbey Lane, Middleboro, MA 02346.
