Funeral services for Robert L. (Bob) McCall, 84, will be held Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Ashburn First United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M. with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. McCall passed away Tuesday at his home.
The son of the late John Willie and Josie Mims McCall, he was born in Ben Hill County, Georgia. He was a member of the United States Army and retired from Alltel. He loved football especially the University of Georgia Bulldogs, member of the American Legion Post 98, also a Mason and Shriner. Bob loved to travel and never missed Sunday School and Church. Bob was a member of the Ashburn First United Methodist Church and a member of the Griffin Saxon Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Raines McCall of Ashburn, children John Michael (Stephanie) McCall of Troy, Alabama, Lisa McCall (Ed) Zurick of Henderson, NC, Kim McCall (Greg) Dutton of Cumming, Scotty Dent (Melanie) Raines of Sycamore, Sherry (Dennis) Summers, Sandra Hill, all of Ashburn, Sheila (Cliff) Gibbs of Tifton, Ga. and Susan (Benjy) Gandy of Ashburn. Brother, Jack McCall of West Palm Beach, Florida. Grandchildren, Jamie Fields, Misty Fields, Emily Dutton, Natalie Dutton, Jake Dutton, John Keith (Porsche) McCall, Justin (Michaela) McCall, Michelle (Josh) Owens, Megan Summers, Jason (Joy) Hill, Jennifer (Coleman) Harrison, Mallory (Jonathan) Garvey, Lindsey Gibbs Coker, Keri (Kelby) Hobbs, Kayla (Jamie) Hughes. Kimberly (Kyle) Payne, Celie Raines and Christian Raines and 23 Great Grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by a son, Robert Keith McCall and sisters Geraldine Evans and Barbara Jo McCall.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 13 from five until seven at Perry Funeral Chapel.
