STANDISH- Elaine Thelma Theriault, age 82, passed away on June 11, 2019 at her home in Standish, surrounded by her husband and family after a long illness.
She was born in Portland on February 12, 1937, daughter of the late Charles and Thelma (Adams) Talbot.
Over the years she worked at Patsy’s Store in South Windham for several years, Universal Watkin for a few years and at Saunders Brothers for more than 25 years.
Elaine was a lifelong motorcycling enthusiast and rode with friends and family in every State, including Alaska and Hawaii. She also rode throughout Canada. Both Elaine and her husband rode nearly one million miles by motorcycle.
She is predeceased by her sons- Richard Theriault Jr., Richard Theriault II, James Theriault and Ronnie Theriault; brothers- Bill, Phil, Teddy, and Lloyd Talbot.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 65 years- Richard “Dick” Theriault; children- Brenda Theriault, Pam Woodward and her husband Charles, Sandra Clark and her husband Earlon, and David Theriault and his wife Karen; daughter in law- Peggy Theriault; brothers- Kenneth Talbot and his wife Terry, James Talbot and his wife Dianna, and Gary Talbot and his wife Donna; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren
A graveside service will be held on Friday June 14 at 2 PM at Dow’s Corner Cemetery, Cape Road in Standish.
