Obituary


Patricia A McElaney, 71, of Bridgewater, died on June 10, surrounded by her family.
She was born April 27, 1948 in Weymouth MA to the late Howard Kimball and Anne (Johnson) Carney. Pat (Patty) grew up in Hanover MA.
Pat married the late Henry P. Beland from Whitman where they resided with their three children Scott, Ronna, Roxanne. Later she married the late Robert J. McElaney and had three additional boys, Casey, David and Thomas.
She enjoyed the beach, sunshine, reading and spending time with her family and friends in The Bridgewater Housing Community, where she had resided for the last several years. She was well known for her many hair colors and her unique style of dress.
Pat worked many years at New England Art in Abington as a proofreader and also worked for the Salvation Army in Bridgewater.

She was the sister of the late Cynthia Benoit and Eric May
She is survived by her step-father David Carney of Wareham, her siblings Alan Kimball and his wife Marie of Brockton and Jane (Nina) Comeau of Whitman, her children Scott C. Beland and his wife Barbara of Seekonk Ronna L. Sanchez and her husband Carlos of Taunton, Roxanne Fahey and her husband Brian of East Bridgewater, Casey McElaney and his companion Rose of Taunton, David McElaney and Thomas McElaney both of Bridgewater. She was the loving Nana to: William (the baby) Britton, Tayla Britton, Scott P Beland, Veronica Vänder Krake, Carissa Kelly, Kailey, Kyle, Zoe Beland, Tyler and Evan Stanley, Ava Fahey, Mathew McElaney, Kierra McElaney and Chase McElaney. The great grandmother to: Michelangelo Long, Scott Phillip Beland Jr. Silas Beland, Kinsley Rego, and the late Hope Beland.
Pat also leaves behind her companion Ed Spencer of Bridgewater and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday June 15th from 5:00-7:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. All other services will be at a later date.
