Mr. John N. Russell, a resident of Medford, formerly of North Reading, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, June 8, 2019. He was 72 years old.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, on February 16, 1947, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph N. and Jocelyn "Joyce" (Maguire) Russell. John was a former Boston Cab Driver and Truck Driver for Diamond Express. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle. He was a member of the Mean N Clean Motorcycle Group and also a member of the Pine Ridge Group in North Reading. John was an avid Boston Sports fan and loved to cheer them on. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving siblings; Robert L. and his wife Susan J. Russell of Ft. Myers, Florida and Sally A. Russell of North Reading, sister-in-law; Jean Russell of North Reading, nephew and nieces; Brett Russell and his partner Sandy Amerine of North Reading, Melanie Russell of West Haverstraw, New York and Valerie Russell of Guatemala, grand-nieces and grand-nephews; Kingston, Kara, Angelina and Angel, uncle John "Jackie" Russell and his wife Edith of Dorchester, New Hampshire and many cousins in the US and Northern Ireland. Also survived by the family's beloved dog Molly.
Funeral services will be privately held at a later date. Donations in John's memory may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114.
