WORCESTER-Mildred A. (Brunell) Spayne, 88, formerly of 39 First Street died Saturday, June 29th in Providence Extended Care Center after an illness. Her husband, Joseph P. Spayne died in 1987. She leaves 3 daughters, Maureen F. St. Denis of Thompson, CT, Cynthia A. Wray of Oxford and Eileen R. Doreika of Bar Harbor, ME; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; many nephews and nieces. 2 brothers, Walter and Darius Brunell and a sister, Hariett Murray predeceased her.
She was born in Millbury, the daughter of Frederick and Ruth (Johnson) Brunell and lived in Worcester most of her life. Mrs. Spayne was a homemaker in her own home. She also was a member of St. Peter’s Church. She loved arts and crafts and enjoyed playing cards. She was an avid crochet artist.
The funeral will be Tuesday, July 2nd, from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, with a mass at 11:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 9:30 until 10:30 the morning of the funeral.
