Patricia K. (Stoddard) Melanson, 85, of Franklin, died Monday, June 3, 2019 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. She was the wife of Joseph M. Melanson who died in 2014.
Born in Nyack, New York on July 20, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Carol (Gifford) Stoddard.
Mrs. Melanson was a resident of Franklin for over 55 years. She worked at the former GTE for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. Melanson enjoyed reading, gardening, home decorating and antiques. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and at her home in Newport.
She is survived by her son, Mark Melanson and his wife Rita of Germany, two daughters, Patricia Small and her husband Mark of Douglas and Pamela Cain of Gardner, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late James and Robert Stoddard, Carol Boss, Juanita Brown and Jeanne Heppes.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Wednesday, June19 at 12:30 p.m.
