Obituary

Janis Ruth Chandler, age 56, gently passed away on May 21, 2019 after a courageous battle with a rare form of
uterine cancer.

Janis was born on February 16, 1963 in Boston, Massachusetts. However, she lived most of her life on the Cape with her beloved and only child Tasha Chandler before relocating to Cincinnati, Ohio by way of New Orleans.

Outside of her professional and educational goals, Janis was a singularly wonderful human being. Her genuine smile was enough to brighten any room. The light that she left on this world will truly be missed and will be carried on by those who love her.

Janis is survived by her father, Dana Chandler Jr., her sister Angeleka Talavera, and step father David Talavera.
