Marie Baldassari of Casselberry, Florida passed away in Jaco, Costa Rica on Sunday, May 26, 2019, at sixty-six years of age. Born, raised and educated in Medford, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Dora (Carbone) Grillo.
Before moving to Casselberry, Marie resided in Billerica for most of her adult life where she raised a family with her former husband and two sons. She loved spending time with her family and looked forward to traveling with her sister.
Marie was the loving mother of Joseph Baldasari of Los Angeles, CA and Steven Baldassari of Casselberry, FL. She was the cherished sister of Elaine Breen of Salisbury, John Grillo of Salem NH, and Robert Grillo of Lowell. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews, and her former spouse Paul Baldassari.
Marie worked at Whole Foods. She was passionate about health and nutrition and studied at Clayton College of Natural Health where she received a Bachelor of Natural Health Studies and Doctor of Naturopathy degree. She had a strong desire to share her wealth of knowledge with others.
Marie was selfless and always put the well being of others before her own. She fed the homeless, opened her home to foster children, did missionary work in Haiti and raised money for various other charities. She was a devout Christian who dedicated her life to Jesus. Simply put, she was the best of us!
She was the sunshine after the rain, the light at the end of the tunnel. Now there is no more pain, no more sorrow. Though we may not see you again today or tomorrow, we will see you again soon Marie, and what a glorious day that will be! For now, as she always said, “Play with all your heart; live with all your life; love with all your being.”
Visiting hours will be held Thursday June 6th, at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford from 4 -8 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service, that will be celebrated in Community Christian Fellowship (CCF) Ministries, 105 Princeton Blvd, Lowell, Friday June 7th at 11 AM. Please meet at church. Interment will be private.
