Obituary

Kathleen M. (Sullivan) Porter, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 80 years of age.

Kathleen was born in Chelsea on January 16, 1939, a daughter of the late Daniel W. Sullivan and Phyllis M. (Hall) Sullivan. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated throughout the Boston Public School system. Kathleen worked for Schraffts Candy Company in Charlestown for several years before it's closing in the 1970's. Following her employment at Schraffts, Kathleen worked as a Senior Aide for the Kennedy Center in Charlestown. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing yazee.

Kathleen is the wife of the late Raymond Porter. She is the devoted mother of William Porter and his wife Corey, Joseph Porter, Shawn Porter and the late Kathleen Porter. She is the beloved mother-in-law of Lynn Maticic. She is the beloved sister of Mary Pinkley and her husband Bill and the late Daniel Sullivan. She is the dear friend of the late Bernadette Morrissey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kathleen's visiting hours on Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 4 to 7 P.M. with her Funeral Service at 6:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial is private.
