New Bedford-Manuel P.”Manuel Zinho” da Silva died January 8, 2006 at the Hallmark Nursing & Rehab Center, after a long illness. He was the husband of Maria (Silva) da Silva of New Bedford. He was the father of Steven, Debbie, and Phillip da Silva all of New Bedford. He is also survived by several Aunts. Uncles, and Cousins.
Mr. da Silva was the son of the late Arturo and Liunicia (da Silva) da Silva. He was born in Faial Azores. He has lived here since 1963. He was a textile printer with Dartmouth Finishing. He was also a Professional Soccer Player in Portugal.And he Also Played for Portuguese Sports. He was a member of the Portuguese Sports Club.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Da Silva will be Thursday January 12, 2006 at 8:45 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church New Bedford,Visiting hour will be Wednesday January 11, 2006 from 6-9 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. He will be buried will be at St. John Cemetery.
