Ruth M. (O’Connell) Mullen, age 82, a lifelong resident of Taunton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. She was the beloved wife of the late David Mullen.
Born in Taunton, MA on July 14, 1936, she was a loving daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Handy) O’Connell.
Ruth grew up in Taunton, was educated in parochial schools and was a graduate of Taunton High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed the simple pleasures of relaxing at home and will always be remembered for her charitable nature.
She was the dear sister of Walter O’Connell of Taunton and the late James O’Connell, Joseph O’Connell and Jean Silva. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
