Elisa Cemelus, a resident of Malden, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. She was 88 years old.
Born in Haiti, she was the beloved daughter of the late Noel and Anacilia (Parfait) Cemelus. Ms. Cemelus enjoyed gardening around her home, going to church and singing in the choir at the KayPam in Dorchester. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her loving children; Jardine A. and her husband Reel Jean of Malden, Genia and her husband Edriss Benjamin of Saugus and Guirlene Altema of Malden, granddaughter; Tamika Altema of Malden, siblings; Ceculia Baptiste of Saugus and Rosanie St. Cilaire and Felisete Joseph, both of Haiti and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at 7 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend.
