TEWKSBURY: Lillian R. Ferraioli, age 91, a resident of Tewksbury for 23 years, died Saturday, January 7, 2006 at the Blaire House of Tewksbury.
Born in East Boston on July 21, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Antonette (Scaramella) Ferraioli.
Miss Ferraioli was raised in Medford.
She attended Medford schools and graduated from Medford High School in 1935.
Prior to her retirement in 1979, she was employed as principal clerk by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Division of Employment Security of Boston, where she worked for 33 years.
Miss Ferraioli was a communicant of St. William’s Church of Tewksbury, where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality.
In earlier years, she was a volunteer at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester, the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford and St. John’s Hospital (Saints Memorial Medical Center) in Lowell.
Miss Ferraioli was a member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club and frequent visitor and volunteer at the Senior Drop-In-Center.
She is survived by one sister Evelyn Hamel of Tewksbury; her nieces and nephews; Judith L. Cuoco of Billerica, Denise M. Saindon of Hudson, NH, Capt. Stephen E. Nadeau of Miami, FL, Ellen Scott of Andover, Richard A. Ferraioli of Milford, Rev. Joseph M. Ferraioli, O.M.I. of Alton, Illinois, James T. Ferraioli of Tewksbury, Elizabeth A. McKenna of Holliston, Dr. Mark Ferraioli of Philadelphia, PA, Annmarie Edison of Arlington, TX, Lois Abbruzzese of Medford, NJ and Susan Schultz of Lynn; also nineteen great nieces and nephews and seven great great nieces and nephews.
Miss Ferraioli was the sister of the late Doris Nadeau, Salvatore, Ralph and Arthur Ferraioli.
Calling hours Tuesday,January 10th, from 4-8 p.m. (G.A.C. Service @ 4:30 p.m.) at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will be held Wednesday,Janaury 11th at 9 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Oblate Novitiate, 486 Chandler St., Tewksbury, MA 01876 are requested.
