Frances (Wesoly) Peitavino, 87, of Dartmouth died Saturday January 7, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Eugene Peitavino.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Fal) Wesoly, she lived in Dartmouth for most of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Mrs. Peitavino was a volunteer for St. Luke's Hospital Auxilary for over 40 years. Extremely devoted to her family, she was like a second mother to her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include two sisters, Sally Ociesa of Dartmouth and Lena Nebiolo of Middletown, RI; two brothers, Stanley Wesoly of Greensboro, N.C., and Leonard Wesoly of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Walter Wesoly.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Tuesday January 10, 2006 at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Monday January 9, 2006 from 5-8 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
