Richard Lucas Fleet, 90, passed away May 20, 2019 at CareOne of New Bedford. He was the husband of the late Harriette E. (Edwards) Fleet.
Richard was born in Portland, PA, son of the late Charles A. Fleet Jr. and Lillian G. (Weaver) Fleet. He was predeceased by his sister Jane Segee Fleet.
Growing up in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, he then raised his family and moved to New Bedford in 1968 and onto Acushnet in 1982. He was employed by Brodeur Machine Co., Inc. until his retirement. He enjoyed boating, woodworking, cooking, camping, reading, music and amateur photography.
Survivors include his daughter, Deborah J. Fleet of New Bedford and his son, Charles A. Fleet of Seattle, WA.
Funeral services will be private.
