Michael J. Sasso of Wakefield, formerly of Malden, passed away January 6, 2006 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, Melrose. He was 81 years old.
Born in Malden he was the son of the late John and Mary Rose Sasso.
Before his retirement Mike was a construction foreman for Sasso Construction. He was a U.S. Marines Corps Veteran serving during World War II. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart.
He was the beloved husband of the late Eleanora (D’Onofrio) Sasso and devoted father of Deborah Mullen and her husband Brian of Littleton, Rosanne Theobald and her husband Joe of N. Reading, Joanne Sasso of Wakefield and the late Michele Logan of Brockton. He was the cherished grandfather of Kristen and David Mullen and Jeff and Russell Logan and dear brother of Angie Barbuto, Anna Bravacos and the late Joseph, Lawrence, George and John Sasso.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm ast the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main Street STONEHAM. Parking attendants will be on duty.
