Obituary

LUDLOW – Marina (Ramirez) Philbrick, 86, of Ludlow, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, May 19, 2019. She passed into Eternal Life at Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her wonderful caregivers. She was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico on December 17, 1932, a beloved daughter of the late Bartolome Ramirez and Josefina Alcaras de Ramirez. She was raised and schooled in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and has lived in the United States for over 50 years, retaining her dual citizenship in both countries. She was an interpreter for many years. She leaves her husband, Robert F. Philbrick; her son, Christopher Philbrick; her granddaughter, Emelie Philbrick; her dear friend and caregiver, Rosa M. Blair of Springfield; and her many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Philbrick and Ramirez families. She was one of seven children, her brother, Elias, and her five sisters, Josefina, Dolores, Eliza, Engracia and Elena. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 12:30 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107.
