Salem. Lucille Y. (Devarenne) LaBrie age 84 of Salem, died Friday at the Jewish Rehabilitation Center in Swampscott, following a brief battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Alfred E. Labrie.
Born in Danvers and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Eva W. (Parent) Devarenne. A life long resident of this city, she was a member of Ste. Anne Parish and was an avid bingo player and volunteer worker for the parish former bingo program.
Mrs. LaBrie is survived by 2 daughters: Pauline M. Kiely and her husband Robert Kiely, Retired U.S. Army Lt. Col, of Aberdeen, MD and Gloria A. Williams and her husband Donald S. Williams of Salem, her sister: Helena J. Blouin of Salem, 4 grandchildren: Michael & Matthew Kiely, Jennifer Field and Lyndsey Mewa, also 3 great-grandchildren several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Rita Ouellette.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Tuesday, January 10th, at 8 am from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., Salem [Rt. 114 / 1-A] followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, Salem at 9 am. Visiting hours: Monday 5 to 8 pm. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
