FAIRHAVEN — Barbara A. (Sylvia) Hunt, 87 years old of Fairhaven, MA, died peacefully at the Oaks of New Bedford on May 13, 2019 with her family by her side.
Beloved wife of 66 years to Richard “Dick” Hunt; mother to Richard T. Hunt Jr. of Natick, Pamela Fruci of Norwood and Leslie Bartoshesky of Salisbury, Maryland; grandmother to Steven Fruci of Norwood, Rebecca Bartoshesky of New York City, Taber Bartoshesky of Delaware and Adam Bartoshesky of California; great-grandmother to Sophia and Kaia Bartoshesky of Delaware; best friend to Beverly Dickinson of Assonet.
Barbara was a 1949 graduate of Fairhaven High School, class of 1949, along with her husband. She attended St. Luke’s School of Nursing. She worked as a labor and delivery room nurse for Framingham Union Hospital. She later moved to Reading, PA. with her husband for 25 years and worked as an operating room nurse for an oral surgery group. She and her husband returned to Fairhaven in 2000. She enjoyed traveling, dancing and spending time with family and friends,
