Wiley William Griner, 90, of Route #1 Enigma, died Saturday, January 7, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Janaury 9, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Elder Charles Tyson will officiate with burial to follow at Brushy Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwin County. Friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, January 8, 2006 at Bowen-Donaldson.
Mr. Griner was born on December 20, 1915 in Irwin County. He was a retired farmer and the son of Fisher Griner and Mary Lee Flanders Griner, both deceased, and a member of Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Perry Griner, Curtis Griner and Bobby Griner and two sisters, Inez Jones and Estelle O'Quinn.
He is survived by his wife, Susie Aultman Griner of Enigma; one daughter, Barbara Gillis of Enigma; one grandchild, Michael Gray and 2 great grandchildren, Heather Gray and Dylan Gray.
