Mrs. Rita (Vaas) Therrien, a resident of Middletown, Rhode Island, formerly of Andover and beloved wife of the late Charles Therrian, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019. She was 97 years old.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on February 4, 1922, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Agnes (Wolgemoth) Vaas. Rita had been employed as a Clerk for Social Security, for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed square dancing, traveling to Europe and going out to eat with her friends and family. She will be dearly missed. Rita is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Monday, May 13, 2019, at Noon. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Monday, prior to the service, from 10 AM to 11:30 AM.
