New Bedford – Eddie Ferreira, age 54, of New Bedford, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved son of the late Jose and Isabel (Costa) Ferreira.
Eddie was born in Lagoa, St. Michael, Azores and had worked as a fish cutter at Seaview Fish House.
He is survived by his siblings, Maria Laranja, Ana Couto, Adriana Dunn, Lucy Ferreira, Grace Ferreira, John Ferreira, Joe Ferreira and Frank Ferreira; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also the brother of the late Fatima Ferreira, Steven Ferreria and Gloria Ferreira and the uncle of the late Cliff Raposo and Bryan Tavares.
His visiting hours will be held Sunday evening from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held Monday morning in the funeral home, beginning at 9:00 A.M. with a service to be held at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
