TEWKSBURY - Loreen A. (Scharneck) Santocki, age 55, who operated a child home care
program, died Thursday, Jan. 5, at her East Tewksbury residence, following a lengthy and
courageous battle with Breast Cancer. She was the wife of Alan E. Santocki, with whom she had
celebrated a 35th wedding anniversary this past June 6th.
She was born in Chelsea, on March 15, 1950, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Theresa C.
(Avery) Scharneck. She was raised in Cambridge, but had lived in Tewksbury since 1973.
She was a former employee of Computervision in Bedford, and later ran a child home care
program for more than 20 years.
She was a former member of the Tewksbury Peacemakers Guild, and was a member of St.
William’s Parish.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Alan E. Santocki Jr. of Dracut and Jason S.
Santocki of Tewksbury; two aunts, Yvonne Martell of Grand Prairie, TX, Louise Pederson of
Lyons, IL; and a dear friend, Joelle Savage of Tewksbury.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 10:00 a.m. in St. William’s Church, 1351
Main St. (Rte 38) Tewksbury. Visiting hours Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
Following cremation, interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American
Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701, will be appreciated.
