SALISBURY - Jacob Mathew “Jake” Phillips, age 20, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday afternoon, May 1. He was the beloved son of James R. and Danielle (Deputat) Phillips, with whom he resided.
He came into the world on June 21, 1998, at Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport, and had lived his entire life in Salisbury. He graduated from Triton High School with the Class of 2016, had attended U-Lowell, and was currently enrolled at Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill.
Jake was a friendly and familiar face to many, having worked at Dunkin Donuts at Toll Road and Main Street in Salisbury for several years.
He loved music, not only as a listener, but also as a musician, and had mastered several instruments. Jake found solace and peace while puttering in his home’s flowerbeds and garden.
Besides his mom and dad, he leaves a sister, Rachel Lauren Phillips of Salisbury; maternal grandparents, Edward and Teena (Ireson) Deputat of Saugus; paternal grandparents, Arthur E. Phillips of Granby, CT, and the late Sheila (Pollack) Phillips; maternal great grandmother, Ernestine (Moore) Ireson of Rye, NH; his girlfriend, Kate Rowles of Acton, MA; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial visiting hours Thursday, May 9, from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950.
