Andrea Jean “Andy”
Andy was born March 26, 1960 in Montevideo, MN and passed away April 27, 2019 in Maplewood, MN at the age of 59. She graduated from Winona State College in 1982 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. She married Robert Welter on October 30, 1982 and had two wonderful children Jennica and Drew. She worked for 37 years as a nurse for St. John's Hospital. Andy enjoyed going to Gopher football games and spending time at the lake. She loved watching the kid’s and family at their events. She was always ready with a bucket of chocolate chip cookies. She was a good seamstress and quilter and very creative in so many ways. She enjoyed hosting Christmas and other events at their house. She was a great cook and baker, always trying new recipes. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her. She is survived by husband Rob; daughter Jennica; son Drew (Becca); parents Arlene & Maurice Freeman; sister Amy (Jim) Krohn; sister-in-law Cathie (Tom) Unklesbay; brother-in-law Jim (Mary) Welter; uncle Gary Moe; aunt Lu Conklin; 2 nephews; 5 nieces; 7 cousins; grandnieces, grandnephews & many, many friends. Memorial Service Tuesday (5/7) 11:00 AM at OUR REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1390 E. Larpenteur Ave., St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior to Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to U of M Masonic Cancer Center.
