Elvira Y. Presutti passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was 102.6 years old. Born and raised in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Alberico and Filomena (DeAngelis) Turco. Elvira lived many years in Medford and Arlington. Gifted with a strong entrepreneurial ability, she helped establish Harvard Florist in Medford at the corner of Main and Harvard Streets. She opened and ran Classic Beauty Salon in West Medford, operating that venue for many years. She also won the admiration of hundreds of families and young brides with her Medford Bridal Salon on Main St. For over 30 years and working well into her 80’s she helped young women create the weddings of their dreams. Her big heart and strong attention to detail were legendary. She often made it on the guest list to the weddings of many of her customers. Elvira was a devout woman of strong faith. She was devoted to her family and was a source of inspiration and wisdom to those who knew her.
The beloved mother of David A. and his wife, Loretta M. Presutti of Natick, Elvira leaves many devoted and loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her dear siblings: Joseph Turco, Albert Turco and Mary Mannone.
Family and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian burial, offered in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., West Medford on Monday, April 29th at 11 AM. Please meet at church. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted.
