WORCESTER-Elizabeth M. (Deignan) Casillo, of 6 Stearns Street, died Friday, June 28th in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical City after a short illness. Her husband of 45 years Anthony J. “Tony” Casillo, Sr. died in 1998. She leaves 2 sons, Stanley J. Casillo of Auburn and Anthony J. Casillo, Jr. of Worcester; her daughter Sharon A. Casillo of Worcester; 2 brothers, James B. and Joseph E. Deignan both of Worcester, 4 granddaughters, Elizabeth and Lauren Wasilko both of Worcester and Christina and Cathleen Casillo both of Auburn, and many nephews and nieces.
She was born in Leicester the daughter of James and Elizabeth M. (McConville) Deignan. She was a 1950 graduate of Commerce High School. Mrs. Casillo had worked as a legal secretary for the law firm of Tashjian and Simsarian for several years, and then began her career as a mother and homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish, enjoyed her Boston Terriers, and watching sports.
The funeral will be Monday July 1st, from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, with a mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street.
