Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt.
Age 96. Of Mahtomedi, MN. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at St. Andrew’s Village. Preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Edward “Ed” J. Murray; parents, Vincenzo (Vincent) and Philomena Francisco; in 2017, brothers James, Anthony, Peter, John, Dominic, Victor, and sister Carmella Plasschaert. She is survived by her son Michael (Sue) Murray; daughter Patti (David) Adams; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews, brother-in-law Charles Murray (Bettendorf, IA) and sister-in-law Mary Rielly Murray (Edina, MN).
Mary was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was a lifelong resident of Mahtomedi and was involved in serving the Mahtomedi community as a member of St. Jude of the Lake parish for over 35 years. She enjoyed gardening, family gatherings, daily walks with Ed, and visiting with friends. She was born in Duluth on November 16, 1922 and attended Esko High School (Class of 1940). Mary loved sewing, attending local musical performances, walking in annual parades, having her hair and nails done and enjoyed time with her grandchildren.
Funeral service Monday, April 29, 2019 11:00 AM at ST. JUDE OF THE LAKE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 700 Mahtomedi Avenue, Mahtomedi, MN 55115, with visitation one hour prior to mass. Fr. Paul Kubista will be officiating. Private interment.
