Edmund J. Corsetti, age 90, a life-long resident of Woburn, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Valente). Born in Woburn he was the son of the late Josephine (Ferraro) and Gaetano Corsetti.
Prior to his retirement Edmund was the former owner and operator for fifty years of Hillside Florist located in North Woburn. He was a Privileged Member of the Woburn Host Lions Club of which he was an active member for the past fifty years. For many years Edmund enjoyed participating in the annual Host Lions Halloween Parade and in more recent years he enjoyed spending the winter months in St. Petersburg, FL. Some of his hobbies included boating and taking trips to the state of Vermont. Edmund was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Edmund“s memory to the MA Lions Eye Research Fund Inc. P.O. Box 6050, New Bedford, MA 02742.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Corsetti, and sisters, Vera Cuoco and Louise Santo. He is survived by his sister Florence Cuoco of Wilmington. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews; Frank Santo, Mary O'Connor, Philip Cuoco all of Woburn, Andrew Santo of Salem, NH, Donna Taylor of No. Andover, Albert and John Cuoco both of Wilmington, Edmund Cuoco of Arlington, Anthony Cuoco of Phoenix, AZ.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Saturday, at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church 851 Main St. Woburn, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 3 thru 7. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
