New Bedford – Jose G. Pereira, age 67, of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at home. He was the beloved husband of Maria da Conceicao (Oliveira) Pereira.
Jose was born in Leça da Palmeira, Portugal to Jose da Silva and Maria da Gloria (Gomes) Pereira. He had worked as a welder for the City of New Bedford.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; sons, Joseph E. Pereira and his wife, Brittany of New Bedford and Andrew L. Pereira and his wife, Kimberly of Texas; grandchildren, Kamryn, Katia and Alena; step-grandchildren, Anthony, Angel and Kaila; siblings, Antonio Pereira and his wife, Mimelia of Dartmouth, Americo Pereira and his wife, Rosalina of Dartmouth and Fatima Pereira of Portugal; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Jose’s visiting hours will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home with a service to be held during this time. Burial will be private.
