Edith K. (MacLean) Hyatt age 59 of Salem, NH, died Tuesday at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA, after a brief illness.
She was born in Lawrence, MA, grew up and was schooled in Methuen, MA, and graduated from NH College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting. She was a long time Salem, NH resident, formerly of Methuen, MA.
Mrs. Hyatt owned and operated Salem Building Supply Company, and East Pointe Plaza in Salem, NH for many years. She was very active in the town of Salem. She was on the Zoning Board of Adjustment, on the Board of Directors at Salem Cooperative Bank, and the Salem Historical Committee. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Salem, NH. She enjoyed boating, deep sea fishing, and RV traveling. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 7, at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
Calling hours will be held Friday, Jan. 6 from 4-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH.
