Obituary

Rudolph Felix D’Agostino, 88, died Friday, April 19th, 2019 in the Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the devoted husband of Yvette Margaret (Giroux) D’Agostino. They had been married for 66 years.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Angelo and Maria D’Agostino. He had worked for many years as an electrical engineer at AstroMed. His great joy was coaching Baseball, fishing and other outdoor activities.

He owned and operated the R & Y Shop in Smithfield from 1974 to 2014. He loved building model planes and had coached Smithfield baseball for over 2 decades. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Ronald D’Agostino of Foxboro, Massachusetts, Donald D’Agostino of Anchor Illinois, Thomas D’Agostino of Putnam, Connecticut, Rudy D’Agostino of Greenville, Mary D’Agostino of Smithfield, Margaret Issler-Young of Smithfield, Yvette D’Agostino of Illinois and Anthony D’Agostino of Cranston, as well as his twelve beloved grandchildren. He is predeceased by his daughter, Diane D’Agostino, as well as his siblings, Matilda, Simone, Edmund and Anthony D’Agostino and Della Mosca.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 11am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Inurnment will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund c/o Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
