Obituary

Rita M. (Camire) Ross, 97, formerly of Salem, Passed away peacefully at the Blueberry Hill Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Beverly, Saturday, April 13, 2019, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Ross with whom she had shared sixty years of marriage.
Born in Manchester, NH and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lauretta (Goodick) Camire. Rita was a stay at home mother who devoted her life to her family. She was a former member of the Immaculate Conception Parish and in her later years the former St. John the Baptist Parish now the St. John Paul II Shrine of Devine Mercy. Rita was a member of the Salem Council on Aging.
She is survived by three sons: Richard A. Ross of Beverly and his partner Karen DiCenso, Dennis M. Ross and partner Renate Nowak of Salem and Dana J. Ross and his wife Diane of Danvers. She also leaves 6 grandchildren, Debbie Burnham, Alan Ross, Jennifer Tremblay, Dennis Ross, Melissa Strohecker and Dana Ross, as well as several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, George, Fred & Rene and sister Theresa.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 9:00 AM to be followed by her Pro Burial Service at Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Blvd., Salem at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours, at the funeral home will be on Wednesday the 17th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
