Arthur P. Chin, age 76 of South Boston, MA, passed away on April 10, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will take place at Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester St., South Boston, MA on Wednesday, April 17th from 10:30 to 12:30 and private burial services to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Dorchester.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Frances Chin, and brothers Frederick Wilcox, Emil Wilcox and Richard Chin. Arthur is survived by his sister Anna Lavoie of Methuen, MA; sister Teresa Splittgerber of Rhode Island; brother James Chin and wife Carol Chin (deceased) of Holbrook, MA; brother Chester Chin and wife Lisa Chin of East Longmeadow, MA; brother Lester Chin and wife Noy Chin of Nevada; sister Marilyn (Chin) Harris and husband James Harris of Ohio; sister Margaret Chin of Ohio, and sister Marleen Chin of Haverhill, MA. He is lovingly survived by many, many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests a contribution be made in his memory to your local food pantry or shelter. Arthur worked for many years at Ionics in Watertown, MA. He enjoyed listening to the Oldies and had a singing voice nearly as good as Elvis. We will forever cherish his winning smile and the happy memories he gave us.
