Obituary

Mary I. (Gioia) Sullivan, of Medford, passed away on Thursday, April 11th. She was 87. Born and raised in Boston. She was the daughter the late Peter and Paulina (Messina) Gioia.

Mary enjoyed cooking and baking, everything was made from scratch and was known to be delicious. She especially loved cooking for her only grandson Michael and kept all of his favorite recipes in a special box. When Mary was not cooking she enjoyed shopping on the QVC and other home shopping networks.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late James Sullivan. She was the devoted mother of the late Paula Sullivan. She was the loving grandmother of Michael and his partner Melissa. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Wednesday, April 17th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9 to 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
