New Bedford – Nefa F. (Mendonca) Pimental, age 84, of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Celestino P. Pimental.
Nefa was born in Dartmouth, MA to Frank F. and Mary L. (Ferreira) Mendoza. She had been a loving homemaker to her family for many years.
She is survived by her children, Gary Pimental, Deborah Perez, Brenda Alcaraz and Brian R. Pimental; grandchildren, Veronica Alcaraz, Sarah Pimental, Linda Perez and Christine Pimental; step-grandchildren, Tisha DaCosta, Phillip Picanso and Josh Hinckley; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Frank, Cecelia, Olga, Dolores and Gilbert; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Nefa’s visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 17th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home with a service to be held during this time.
